Canadian couple rescues a puppy from a man trying to drown her in the sea, then spends the rest of their vacation fighting to bring her home to Canada before they run out of time

Who in their right mind tries to hurt a puppy?

We sit here every day, looking at all the wholesome doggo adoptions by the kindest of people, and it warms our hearts. But the fact that we sit here and look through all these heartwarming adoption stories sometimes makes us forget that real evil exists in this world as well. Some people are cruel to dogs for some reason that is above our understanding. How could anyone try to hurt a dog? That's a question we can't find an answer to. This is pure evil. We can't even fathom hurting a dog by mistake (every dog pawrent has accidentally stepped on their dog's tail at night while waking to the bathroom in the dark… it just happens), so doing it on purpose just doesn't sit with literally anything in our mind.

But while this unimaginable evil dwells in some people's hearts, some people act exactly the opposite. Take this one Canadian couple, for example - they saw a puppy in danger on the beach, and did everything in their power to save her from a doomed fate. But this danger wasn't naturally occurring; it was handmade. Some people take their dogs to the beach to have fun, but apparently, they saw one person taking his puppy to the beach to drown her. Plain and simple. And utterly disgusting. We truly believe there's a special place in the abyss for people who do that.

What we love about the fact that this caring couple didn't stay indifferent to the abhorrent situation, is that they totally converted their vacation time to a puppy rescue mission time. When a difficult situation presents itself, this is when people's true character shines. And this couple's character shines very brightly. They took their time, energy, and money to make sure this precious little pupper never suffers again - to take her home, to their home, to her forever home. The place where she'll be safe, happy, and loved - just like she deserves.

First things first - these people already have other pets. And you can see they take care of them, as they make sure their cat stays with care and company during the week of their absence. Even this is a small sign of their animal-loving nature.

It's so heartbreaking to learn she reached this condition because of that one man who tried to hurt her. But at least we know she was in good hands - the people who brought her to see a vet, who could then take care of her. Knowing of a happy ending in this situation is necessary.
